Beeminder – Helping You Achieve Your Goals

Beeminder is a really interesting tool for tracking your progress towards a goal and helps incentivise the endeavour. From the website:

Beeminder Graph

Beeminder Graph: Are you on target?

Beeminder tracks your progress toward your goals. Anything you can put a periodic number on works — weight, pushups, number of cigarettes, or how long it takes you to bike to work. Just answer with your number when Beeminder asks and it will show you your progress and a yellow brick road to follow to stay on track.

Visual feedback combined with self-binding help to keep you on the road to achieving whatever it is you set out to.

They hope to open up registrations by 4 August. Should be good!

  1. Very interesting. I need an app for that.

  2. Not sure if I’m brave enough to put money on a goal. Will have to wait for my beta acount to see…

  3. Public commitments are a wonderful kick in the pants. Today, as you’ll notice, is Aug 4 and though we’re not quite ready to throw the doors wide open, we are prepared to give out a lot more invites to the beta. Certainly to anyone who blogs about us! If you used the invite code at the bottom of the akrasia/self-binding article you linked to then you should have already gotten one. If not, let me know.

Thanks so much for the enthusiasm! Eager to hear what you think…
